PrettyGirlsLiveFit: Healthy Living Is A Choice Im Starting The Brittne Babe 21 Day Challenge

Sunday, April 3, 2016

For those of you who follow me on Instagram you know that I have been talking about BrittneBabe's 21 day challenge and how I was going to attempt to take it head on starting April 4th!
At first it was a joke between a friend and I, she was talking about how we were going to do the challenge and get our booties right and tight for summer. However the more I thought about it the more I realize that this actually probably shouldn't be a joke.

I've never been the type of person to struggle with weight issues. I've actually been a athlete for the majority of my life which I think I mentioned in my Seven Ways To Jumpstart Your Fitness which you can read HERE

But over the past year I have struggled with weight fluctuation, portion control, good eating habits and really just a general healthy and stable relationship with food.

I've also been super sluggish and a lot of my health issues have increased due to my lack of..."fitness". Now you may be thinking ""Deanna what are you talking about you're skinny". Where I might still looks skinny to most people that doesn't necessarily mean that I am nor does it mean im healthy.

On a daily basis I notice little things that are huge signs that I'm not in the best shape that I could be. One big one is being out of breath when walking up and down stairs and being tired after not really doing much movement at all.
Also clothes that I've had forever and have always fit over the past year have become tight and uncomfortable to wear and I've noticed myself layering up to cover bulges instead of layering up because it was cold ..
And I personally don't want to live a life like that so this 21 day challenge came just in time!  One of the first thing that you have to do for the 21 day challenge is take a before picture. Now I look at myself in the mirror every day but it's often with clothes on or in passing when these pictures were taken and I actually got a good look at myself I have to admit I was pretty sad.
You may see a body that is perfectly fine but I saw one that needed refinement and was nothing like I remember. I was out of shape in areas that I didn't even know I was out of shape in and visibly not tone in areas that I never realized.

So as of tonight I had my last unhealthy supper which consisted of Pizza Hut pizza and an Icee.  I feel like I could've went bigger than that but that's what I was craving and I am now completely invested in the challenge. I even bought a food scale AND YOU KNOW a bitch is invested when she bought a food scale.

I'll be keeping you guys updated on my progress between the blog and Instagram and I hope that if you are on your own fitness journey you will Hashtag your post with #PrettyGirlsLiveFit so I can follow your journey and we can all support each other.
Until Next Time,
XO Deanna
