Motivational Monday: Messages & Mistakes

Monday, February 10, 2014

Happy Monday y'all!

I know I have been MIA on the blogging scene for the past week or so and I'm sorry. As you all know I stumbled upon this amazing thing called couponing and it has consumed my life lol. Honestly, its addictive lol but there will be more post on that later ;)

I wanted the first post I put up after my little hiatus to be something that was meaningful, actually I want to do AT LEAST one meaningful/motivational post every week. You know, something to try and help keep everyone that reads my blog look at the positive that is all around them.

This weeks Motivational Monday is about messages and mistakes.

When I saw this quote I was immediately moved by it and thought it would be the perfect fist Motivational Monday =)

Everyone as we go throughout our lives will make mistakes. It is a fact that no one is perfect and though we try our hardest no one can be. However, making the mistake is not the real issue at hand, its that after we make a mistake we beat ourselves up about it instead of forgiving ourselves and learning from what has went wrong.

We analyze and over analyze where we went wrong and how we went wrong. And often times when the mistake that was made is inside a relationship and we've hurt another persons feelings but we don't see how, we spend valuable time looking for the mistake. When instead in either situation (relationship or everyday life) we should be looking for the message and the lesson, so we can learn from the mistake and fix the issue at hand.

There is no sense in constantly studying your wrong doings and beating yourself up, it won't change the fact that it happened. However acknowledging and understand that something is or was going wrong, or in the case of a relationship acknowledging the feelings of the person that you have hurt is the most important step in the direction of healing.

Always Remember

A mistake is only a small piece of a bigger picture. The mistake is the negative, while the message inside the mistake is the positive. Which one are you focusing on? Because your perception object of focus,  can often times dictate whether your journey is a positive or a negative one.

So next time you make a mistake take a step back and see the big picture,  the lesson and the blessing inside your mistake.

Until Next Time,
XO Deanna
